Do Unto Others

Culture: family’s background, religion, beliefs, and values; The meaning is the same to everyone, yet everybody has differences in their cultures. Religion is a tremendous part of someone’s culture and it can be the belief of so many different kinds of Gods. Some people are dressed differently from one another, and that’s representing differences materialistic values. Some examples are clothing, food, and house hold items that are all parts of materialistic values. All of these differences in a society are really important, because it gives each person their own image and personality. The world would absolutely be a different place if every single person had the same beliefs and customs without any diversity. Different beliefs and such help people savor their backgrounds and where they’re originally from. This creates more knowledge for various skills that can apply to the world. Everyone should understand and accept that our world’s full of different ethnicities, and that we shouldn’t shut them out. Every body’s customs are dissimilar in one way or another.

Communication is a part of social issues , it shows that every person’s not interacting with one another unless they’re family. It’s telling us how we don’t communicate outside of our comfort zone and our race. The world is a place without any interactions sometimes, because people might speak different languages or communicate in a non familiar way, but communication is the key in this world.  We wouldn’t be able to do anything without it, because it’s such an important matter. It keeps everything in place and gets things done. People communicate to earn a living; some people earn more and some less. Some locations in the world are in poverty because they lack certain tools to carry out the best communication possible. Many social classes only interact with people from the same class but should communicate with others and not feel like their superior just because they’re a different class and it’s a social issue we need to fix. People communicate with different symbols to represent things or act a certain way, and all these things need to be accepted by everyone. It’s a beautiful thing to come together as one, you learn so much more from the differences of normality in some societies today. We could change and fix the world one by one.

Regardles of all the different cultures, religions, languages, and communication, people should be respected as you would like to be respected yourself. You wouldn’t want to be treated differently just because of what you believe in, you would want to be respected for your individuality. The quote really explains the meaning of respect, and seems to be emphasizing the idea of giving and receiving respect because respect is such an important thing, but some people seem to forget about it when it comes to differentiating certain ideas. “Do Unto Others” explains these main concepts of society today, but many people are shunned and shamed upon by these differences. We shouldn’t be so narrow minded, and we shouldn’t be selfish but open up to what the world is offering. We should be familiarized with foreign cultures to expand our knowledge. The painting shows a variety, and that’s what people today should look for too. We should respect human beings as their own self, and try not to change every single imperfection. Imperfections and variety are what makes everything special and unique. Differences shouldn’t be the reason why the world is becoming corrupt. The world can be a better place with understanding and with a little bit of compassion.
